I’ve got some major inspiration for outdoor bathing for you this afternoon! I don’t know about you but I find an outdoor shower to be one of the simple joys of life. And I wouldn’t mind a good mount of time in any of these! They’re lovely, right? Hope you love! xx- Sarah Sources: 1/ 2 /3 /4 /
I’m wearing shiny new birthday Converse, it’s true! Also, a dress that’s well under $100 and I’ve worn three times in the past two weeks. Because it’s essentially pajamas you can wear with lipstick. Which everyone knows is next to Godliness. Signing off now so I can get an inspiring spaces post together for this afternoon! xx- Sarah
Cadillac recently paired up with Saveur Magazine to host a culinary experience, Road to Table, in select cities across the US. And when they asked if I’d like to come to Philly to attend one of them I couldn’t book my ticket fast enough! A chance to combine my love of travel, amazing food and luxury? YES PLEASE! The evening started out at 2424 Studios where we had cocktails and tasty tray passed appetizers, setting the tone for an evening of fun ahead! Then we were off for a test drive in the sporty Cadillac CTS. The car was comfortable, boasted all the latest technologies and offered such a smooth ride- I was thoroughly impressed by Cadillac once again! The test drive ended at Sbraga, the Philadelphia restaurant owned by Top ChefSeason 7 winner Kevin Sbraga. I am such a huge fan of Top Chef so it was especially exciting to see Kevin in action! He and his team prepared an incredible four course meal that started with a fluke crudo that I’m still thinking about.
Each course had a wine pairing that perfectly complemented Sbraga’s flavorful dishes and brought a sense of festivity to the event. The ambience in Sbraga also set the tone for the evening- intimate and cozy, it was easy to settle into the experience and let the outside world slip away. Midway through the meal Saveur Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief James Oseland welcomed us all to the event and introduced Chef Sbraga who spoke to us about the menu, the inspiration and his restaurant. There’s something so great about hearing a chef talk about food, I could listen for days! Sbraga’s food values are similar to mine- he appreciates local, sustainable, seasonal ingredients and uses them as inspiration for his imaginative dishes. The evening ended with dessert and coffee at 2424 Studios, and they sent us on our way happy, full of goodness and a little bit glowy from a great night. Thank you so much Cadillac and Saveur for such a magical evening!
It’s true, it’s my birthday! And what does a birthday call for if not an amazing dress?! I can’t get over the pattern on this one, I love it so much! I wish I could tell you how we’re going to celebrate my day but Lou’s keeping it all very top secret. Which is I equally love and hate. Do you feel that way about surprises? I generally ask a million questions and stress Lou out with all my anticipation. I’m actually kind of the worst like that. BUT, I’m giving it the good college try and doing everything I can to keep my big mouth shut and just enjoy whatever is to come! (Hopefully there is cake- and I know, I know, #EatCleanAugust…but it’s MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!) xx- Sarah
Happy Monday everyone! Today I’m partnering with La Crema to share a recipe in celebration of the launch of their new program Virtual Vintner, a choose-your-own-adventure experience that brings wine lovers together to produce a community created wine. It’s a fun way to learn about the process of wine making and be involved in every decision that goes into producing a vintage, and I love that at the end the wine will be available for purchase! Participants are asked to choose their favorite varietal as the starting point, so La Crema asked that I choose mine and come up with a recipe to go with it! I chose Chardonay because I love the way it pairs with a pesto dish in the Summer (I cannot get enough pesto, ever). Since I’m clean eating this month I replaced my regular GF pasta noodles with zucchini noodles and tossed in the freshest of Summer vegetables and herbs to make this dish. Perfectly light and healthy fare for the hot temps we’re having, I hope you love it as much as I do! xx- Sarah
Happy Friday my friends! What’ve you got on the books? Lou and I have been sick all week with a cold (UGH!) so I’m hoping we turn a corner and feel better in time to enjoy some weekend fun! I’d love to hit the pool, spend some time in the kitchen cooking up some healthy, tasty meals, and in my dream weekend I’d love to get an early morning hike in with Lou and Bean on Sunday. But we shall see what the universe has in store for us! How are those of you who are joining me in Eat Clean August doing? I’ve been loving it! I feel like my skin is getting a little glowy and I’m falling in love with vegetables all over again. Ok, I’m leaving you with a list of yummy links for your weekend. Have fun! xx- Sarah Click to read more
