joie snow leopard blouse, a new fave

a shirt called snow leopard, how could i resist?  i couldn’t, i snapped it up as soon as i spotted it (no pun intended) and have been wearing it every chance i get since.  fall in the desert means maybe another layer in the early day, and definitely in the evening.  this doma leather jacket is my go-to, i love the cut and versatility!  and those peach beauts on my feet- i bought them after borrowing my friend jemma’s in ireland.  i couldn’t top thinking about them and had been looking for something similar when one day i stumbled onto dieppa restrepo’s site and spotted the very ones!  meant to be.  don’t you love it when that happens?

vacation style 2

back to milos!  i’m still going through some of the photos, and i look at them anytime i’m completely overwhelmed with work…it’s my escape.  i can still feel the sun, smell the sea, taste the fresh tomatoes.

here’s an outfit i wore for a date night.  i love this dress for greece, it’s the color of the sea!  and that bun- made possible with one of these genius things.  and yes, that lipstick is the one i mentioned here.

stay tuned friends, i have a travel giveaway coming up next week!  it’s my first ever giveaway, i’ve been waiting for the right fit to come along and i think this is the one!

dress: geren ford (a few years old), shoes: seven for all mankind (similar), clutch: lauren merkin, bracelet, jcrew

what i wore: t-bags maxi dress in greece

this dress was on my wish list for a long time but i waited until i knew we were going to greece to snap it up.  and i’ve been wearing it every chance i get since.  it’s comfortable, effortless, and can be dressed up or down. love it to bits.  hope you all have a fantastic and relaxing weekend!

dress: t-bags, (and similar here) sandals: dolce vita, clutch: lauren merkin, bracelet: jcrew and stella & dot, watch: marc jacobs

what i wore: mara hoffman in greece

these mara hoffman bikini bottoms were a staple in milos, i wore them most days.  of course in europe people wear as little as possible on the beach, so i felt a little over-dressed until i decided to join them and ditch my bikini top! and then it was nice to have a little extra coverage on the bottom.

what are your thoughts on high waisted bikini bottoms? too grandma or cute in the right circumstance? i’m on the fence. i love them in theory but i have to be honest, in looking through our vacation photos i realized they might not be the most flattering (i’ll spare you those photos).  i like them in the above but it’s all about a good angle. straight on- well, not so cute.  or maybe i’m just being over critical of myself. do you have a pair?  do you love them?

more greece goodness to come this week as i reminisce about our vacation and try to transport us all back there through our snaps!  *photos by my handsome husband lou mora

my favorite vacation kitty

hello friends!  we’re back from our favorite vacation yet, a magical greek island called milos. it was even more amazing than we hoped it might be.  i’m going to fill you in on alll the details someday soon and we have lots of pretty photos to share!  hopefully i’ll be able to offer up enough to help you fantasize yourself there when you’re next in need of a mental getaway.

in the meantime, here’s a snap of me with my favorite stray cat that spent most breakfasts with us (and even snuck onto our balcony and hopped in bed for a cuddle with me one morning!)  it’s a battle for me to travel to places with so many strays, i want to adopt them all!  i left a piece of my heart with this sweet little tomcat.

we’re back to work but daydreaming about incredible greek food, the mediterranean sea, and sunsets that last for hours. i hope the end of summer is being sweet to you.
