ASOS DRAPE POCKET PANTS, A LOVE STORY

and my love affair with clothes that feel like pajamas continues with these pants from asos.  they come in two colors.  it’s taking EVERYTHING IN ME to not order them in the dusty pink as well.  which is ridiculous because they’re on sale for $41 and i’ve already worn this pair twice since i got them a week ago.  and they look just as adorable dressed down with flats, so there’s also that.  but still, two pairs of the exact same pants?  GAH!!!  i need a support group for people who buy their clothes and shoes in doubles!!!

pattern and stripes

inevitably when i dream about vacations i dream about vacation style.  this outfit is something i’d wear on a day sightseeing and then to dinner that evening (swap out sandals for the wedges most of the time) and would feel completely comfortable and stylish for both occasions. having outfits that are versatile is so important when you’re trying to pack a bag that won’t break your back!  this dress could later be worn as a tunic with skinny jeans and create an entirely different look. and a striped blazer- that can be worn so many ways!

save the blazer, bag and watch this entire outfit is on sale at shopbop right now. i’m a sucker for a good sale! dress: tucker, jacket: jcrew (similar), shoes: dolce vita, bag: chloe (similar), necklace: house of harlow watch: marc jacobs

hey now,

let me state, for the record, that i look like a homeless person when we walk the dogs. sometimes i think i see my neighbors tucking their children quickly into their homes when we turn the corner. but THIS is how i look in my fantasies. because walking dogs in super tall booties is totally practical. and you never know when you might need to get your lipstick, so a bag is a must. *bean was not a participant on this shoot because, let’s be honest, she’d knock me on my ass for the first squirrel to make an appearance. and really, after bean’s fluffington post mention she’s a bit full of herself.   jeans: pilcro via anthropologie, shirt: madewell, booties: dolce vita, scarf: madewell last year, bag: chloe

simple wins again!

here’s the thing: i like simple for my every day wear.  when it comes down to it, i’m realizing there’s not much i like more than a great blouse and some jeans that make me feel like a zillion bucks {well, coupled with pretty accessories and a handbag i covet).  jeans: marc jacobs via shopbop, blouse: parker via shopbop, bag: chloe via net-a-porter, belt: club monaco via shopbop, shoes: dolce vita, necklace: vintage, watch: marc jacobs, bracelets: stella and dot, trina turk earrings: maya brenner *ps- when i say handbag i covet, i mean that i have had my eye on that bag for over two years, squirreling away my pennies to buy it. i consider it an investment piece, i know i’ll have/use it until someone pries it from my dead body. **photos by lou
