It’s Friday! Hip Hip! I’m in Miami (more on that tomorrow!). I’m so excited to check out the beach, I’ve ogled other people’s Miami photos on Instagram enough to know it’s something special. I’m all about blazers as major closet staples. To throw over a tee or tank, to cover up a little bit in a dress, to add that extra layer to any outfit to make it more pulled together. I’ve been imagining this table in my mind for so many months now that I could just pinch myself that I’ve finally gathered everything to bring my imagination to life! Putting together table design for the holidays is at the top of my Fun List! And for months I imagined black and walnut and copper coming together with Eucalyptus and pomegranate to make a romantic, festive, dream of a table. Helllooo Tuesday! This is no ordinary Tuesday because today we’re celebrating Jess from How Sweet Eats and her pregnancy!!! It’s a virtual baby shower! I’m not super savvy with how virtual parties work (ok this is my first!), but I do love celebrating rad women doing amazing things!!! And honestly what is more amazing than GROWING A HUMAN BEING?! Nothing. Nothing at all. So Jess, hugest congrats to you and yours, that’s one lucky baby you’ve got sprouting in there! I made you a cocktail. (insert toothy emoji smile). I know, kind of a dick move since you can’t drink at the moment. BUT, I’m the gal that drinks too much champagne at real life baby showers and says embarrassing/inappropriate things to whoever is unfortunate enough to get stuck talking to me. So this is actually wildly appropriate and with the wonders of technology will still be here when you CAN enjoy a fizzy, sparkly, pomegranate-y drink once more! Congrats again!!! Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a restful and delicious weekend! Did I tell you we re-booked our trip to Bali? The one we cancelled when we moved Carlos in with us. I can’t remember if I mentioned it, but yes- we are going at the end of the month and with Thanksgiving coming up and that on the books I’m pretty much on anticipation cloud 9! It’s hard to think of much else. BUT, this beach house is proving to be a beautiful distraction. It’s everything that I love- bright, airy, simple. I want to vacation in it, I want to stumble in with sandy feet and sunburned shoulders and fix a meal in that kitchen while friends get cleaned up. Oh beach house fantasies, they’re the best!
