let’s holiday party!

i’m holiday obsessed. so i started shopping for party dresses weeks ago. and this little beaut is my favorite outfit so far. feathers, polka dots, vintage fur, oh my! if it only had sequins and it would be incorporating all of my most favorite things. would that be overkill? i’ve never had a dress that has it all, so to speak. dress: cooperative via urban outfitters, capelet: vintage, shoes: badgley mischka (old), tights: kate spade similar, bag: h&m (old), jewelry: jcrew, gorjana, kate spade

cozy knits

i have a feeling i’m going to live in these sweater knit leggings this winter. they’re so warm and comfortable, i can almost pretend i’m still in my pjs. i love! ps- can we talk about my unintentional ombre hair? such a disaster. leggings: club monaco, silk blouse: stella and james via gilt, shoes: cooperative via urban outfitters, bag: marc jacobs, ring: unkonown designer via pigment, bracelet: gorgana via gilt

the state of my dresser

this is where most of my jewelry is kept, and it looks like a bomb exploded 95% of the time (it also gives you an idea of what my closet was like prior to this). i really need a solution, but i feel like anything that tucks everything away too neatly won’t do. with me and accessories, out of sight = out of mind. any suggestions friends? how do you keep your jewelry organized and accessible?

girlfriends

last week i photographed two of my dearest friends paige and kelly for their business {the incredible bash, please}. i want to print this outtake huge and hang it in my office as a reminder…no matter how much right now might be a struggle (i’m drowning in wedding edits!), soon enough i’ll be at girls night throwing my head back and howling with wine induced laughter. and all will be right with the world. i love you girls, our time together means the world to me. i’m so curious, what are other groups of girls spending their time together doing (if not drinking wine and laughing like hyenas)?

roasted brussel sprouts with a fig balsamic reduction

roasted brussel sprouts are something i’ve only recently grown to love, but it’s been a whirlwind romance and now i’m obsessed! to take away a little of the bitterness from these tiny little cabbage buds i love this fig balsamic reduction {you can find it at whole foods, or here is a recipe for a balsamic glaze that looks tasty if you’d like to make it yourself!} as a bonus, anything with fig makes your whole dish 60% fancier. not even kidding.

the what:

organic brussel sprouts (the smaller, the better)

evoo

sea salt

pepper

balsamic vinegar {optional}

fig balsamic reduction

the how:

- chop off base of brusssel sprouts, cut in half

- coat with evoo, sea salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar

- roast at 375 for 20-30 minutes (i used my toaster oven- easy peasy!)

- when they’re sufficiently soft, charred and browned to your liking, drizzle fig balsamic reduction and eat whilst feeling very, very fancy!  *i prefer to wait until they’re room temp
