Thanksgiving Recipe Round-Up

Hi friends!  We’re a little over a week away from one of my favorite days of the year- Thanksgiving!  I think about this meal for weeks in advance, and menu planning is a huge part of the fun for me.  The anticipation! (!!!!)  Do you usually make the standards you grew up eating or mix it up with recipes you haven’t tried?  I usually go for a little of both- the comfort of the traditional dishes prepared the way I’ve always known and at least one or two new dishes to change it up.  Ahhhh, I can’t wait!  Some inspiration for you below if you’re still in the plotting stages!  xx- Sarah

I wouldn’t mind using up a portion of my Thanksgiving stomach for this warm freekeh salad!

This celery root stuffing with roasted meyer lemon sounds like a tasty take on my favorite Thanksgiving dish!

These cauliflower mashed potatoes (that are also vegan!) look like perfectly whipped heaven.

If I were to make a soup for this holiday, which I’m seriously considering, this winter vegetable chowder with mustard and crispy cabbage would be IT!

I haven’t remade this dish, but I think about it often!  Roasted red kuri squash with tart cherries- the perfect savory sweet side for a Thanksgiving table!

Also, this apple tart that’s vegan, gluten and dairy free.  Winning all desserts.

Well, this almond cake with chocolate coconut frosting would also hit just the right spot!

OK FINE!  I want to eat these salted chocolate pecan pie bars too!

Another soup that would be perfect for Thanksgiving: roasted sunchoke with caramelized shallot.  Yum!

One thing always stays the same…the Cuban cornbread stuffing…there’s nothing like it! Other than that we like to stir things up and always try new dishes. Happy feasting!
