Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a restful and delicious weekend! Did I tell you we re-booked our trip to Bali? The one we cancelled when we moved Carlos in with us. I can’t remember if I mentioned it, but yes- we are going at the end of the month and with Thanksgiving coming up and that on the books I’m pretty much on anticipation cloud 9! It’s hard to think of much else. BUT, this beach house is proving to be a beautiful distraction. It’s everything that I love- bright, airy, simple. I want to vacation in it, I want to stumble in with sandy feet and sunburned shoulders and fix a meal in that kitchen while friends get cleaned up. Oh beach house fantasies, they’re the best! That was a nice little escape, now on with our Mondays… xx- Sarah {images via}
oh my gosh how exciting about your trip to bali! we’re heading to thailand in february and i’m feeling the exact same way. it will be especially nice for us living in the midwest to be able to get out of the bitter cold that time of year 🙂

I would love to get cleaned up while you are cooking on a delicious meal with fresh seafood from the ocean outside!
Bali is wonderful — one of the prettiest and most relaxing places I’ve ever been and I’ve been around a bit. The people are the friendliest ever, loving their families and children, taking great care of you as a tourist. The scenery is gorgeous, the food yummy, the temples both pictoresque and stunning, the religious rituals beautiful and humbling, the water sports thrilling. I’ve dreamt of going back every since I went there three years ago! I went alone and booked daily sightseeing tours with a private driver and car. You find the flyers in all the hotels. These tours are very reasonably priced (Bali is very cheap) and you get to see and experience a lot, far more than you can do on your own. Expect the infamous Bali belly, though, which is slightly inconvenient…

I agree with you, I can imagine everything about myself with the exception of sunburned, I prefer sun-kissed shoulders in the cozy beach nest. Happy Nesting.
