I know that a lot of the country has been in the midst of a heat spell, but we’ve actually been having rain and thunder storms here in the desert! It may still be hot, but with the air conditioner up and the rain pounding on our metal roof I was able to convince myself, for just a minute, that fall was upon us. It was AMAZING! And in the midst of my deluded fall fantasies I made a big pot of one of my favorite fall comfort foods, ratatouille. The brilliance of ratatouille lies not only in it’s ability to make you feel like you’ve eaten a really hearty and satisfying meal, but in the insanely easy way it’s prepared. Essentially it’s no more than stewed vegetables. Which means, chop, cook and serve. So at the first hint of fall I recommend you welcome it with a pot of this! xx-Sarah {more after the jump}
Once upon a time I thougth pleather faux leather pants were a TERRIBLE idea. If I were a person who scoffed, I would have scoffed at the mere mention of them. But the times, they change. And I picked up my second pair recently, my favorite yet (and for under $100)! I’m sure you know how this story ends… with a half a dozen photos of me wearing them on the internet. My obsession with zucchini noodles continues with this summer favorite! It’s a flavor explosion featuring two of my summer staples: pesto & roasted cherry tomatoes. YUM to the max. There’s nothing better than enjoying a giant bowl of noodles and not feeling like you have to be rolled into bed. Sorry spaghetti, we’ve broken up for good! Hi friends! Thanks so much for the SF restaurant recs! I love this city so much. Everytime I visit I swear it’s my favorite city on the west coast. It’s definitely got a special place in my heart. Or maybe it’s my stomach- the food is SO GOOD!!!
