A BURRITO BOWL, NATURALLY

I love burritos.  I love burritos so much that if you and I were on a first date and the conversation turned to Mexican food, which it would, obviously, and you said something crazy like “I don’t really like burritos” then I’d be all “OMG this date is over right now” really dramatically like, in my head.  I’d scramble to make up an excuse about a family emergency, or a dramatic onset of the influenza happening RIGHT NOW.  And then I’d leave, even if I thought you were dead sexy, and I’d know in my heart I’d done the right thing.  I could never share my life with someone that doesn’t love burritos, its an ABSOLUTE DEAL BREAKER.  {more after the jump}

FOR SALE: DINING TABLE AND WOMB CHAIR!

I have exciting news!  We’ve finally recovered, financially (and emotionally, but I’ll save that story for another day), from our couch purchase and are moving on to decorating the rest of the house!  I can’t wait to share!  In the meantime, we have to let go of our dining table and womb chair, neither fit in the space (the dining table is too small, the chair is too big).  SO, our loss will be someone else’s gain!  Details after the jump.  And a recipe post coming up later today!  xx- Sarah

A PERFECT HOME IN THE CATSKILLS

I cannot even cope with how much I love this home in the Catskills, owned by Amanda Bupp and featured this week on Design Sponge.  I feel like I could move right in without skipping a beat.  I dream of having a home backed up against the woods, with big windows that make the trees the most magnificent part of the home.  Lou Mora are you reading this?  We need a vacation house in the woods, I mean it!  xx- Sarah

KATE SPADE BEAU BAG II

I decided to dress down the sweet girliness of the Beau bag with some neutrals and a menswear inspired tuxedo blouse. I’ll never tire of black and tan, it’s just classic and timeless, don’t you think?  And with this look the bag takes on a whole new style, which I love.  Lastly: my belly was not invited to this shoot, I’m not sure why she decided to make an appearance.  Just wanted to get that out in the open.  I do not condone these faux leather pants with a belly peeking out- it’s a faux leather faux pas!  Ok now, you all have a great day.  xx- Sarah

THAI GREEN CURRY & SWEET POTATO NOODLE BOWL

Just when I thought I’d noodle-ized everything in my house, I realize that one of my favorites, the sweet potato, had escaped my julienne peeler.  Sneaky little sweet potatoes!  They make the most delicious noodles, I can’t believe I’ve been missing out.  I paired them with an easy throw-together green curry with cashews, peas and lotsa spice and flavor.  #omgYUM  {more after the jump}

It was an especially fashion-heavy week around here, but I’ll make up for the yumminess you missed from my usual food posts in the links below.  And next week will be especially recipe-heavy, so there’s that to look forward to!  Also, a quick reminder that I’ll be hosting a party tonight at Madewell in San Diego’s Fashion Valley.
