Let me start this post by saying this: I could eat this every day of the week. No joke. Hearty roasted vegetables, herbs, salt, beans- they can do no wrong. So please, do yourself and your loved ones a favor and whip this up. You’ll surprise yourself with how easy and utterly satisfying it is, I promise you. Do it this weekend. Eat it Sunday afternoon. Munch on leftovers Sunday evening. On the crazy off chance there is still some left on Monday morning, scramble it up with some tofu or eggs and add a little hot sauce. Your mouth deserves it. Your body does too. Hellllllooo nutrition. So just make it, ok? Enjoy! xx- Sarah
I’ve been feeling extra cozy lately, wanting to layer, bundle up and give my winter clothes a run for their money! And I just picked up this Current Elliott jacket, which I’m in love with. It’s more shapeless than I generally prefer for outerwear, but it’s so comfortable I can forgive it most anything. I feel the same way about this cashmere onesie. Yes, CASHMERE ONESIE!! It’s so wrong, but so right. (Santa, did you hear me?!)
Hello my friends! What’ve you got on the calendar for the weekend? We’ve got some good cooking planned, bowling and dinner with some new friends, a movie date night, and a little bit of work. Plus a couple of bike rides and a few long dog walks. I am so happy to see the weekend this week! A little break is much needed. Hope yours is lovely! I’ve rounded up a good lot of internet wonderfulness after the jump! xx- Sarah
This dish was born out of the need to have a staple dessert that is always a win that I can throw together in a flash when we’re having guests over. It’s gluten, dairy and refined sugar free, but I promise you, no one would EVER know. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, meet my new best friend: Apple Oat Crumble. She’s versatile, she’s comforting, she’s really really sweet. And I love her. xx- Sarah {more after the jump}
I have to preface this post with this: I AM KIND OF FREAKING OUT! Ok, not kind of. TOTALLY. Totally freaking out. You guys, this is our living room! Remember that masking tape installation? Yep, it’s been realized into the floating drawers and giant mirror of my dreams. It’s SO satisfying to see something I imagined for so long (my entire life and 15 official months, to be exact) come to life! I’ve written about all the details of the update below, including sources for everything I can think of, and even more of everything after the jump! xx- Sarah
One of the very first things I decided on when we bought the house was these floating drawers, which I designed, agonized over wood & stain options for and then had a local carpenter build and install. And I’ll admit- I hugged the carpenter after he installed it. It’s unfortunate he was as uncomfortable as a cat in a bath in that moment, but I couldn’t contain myself! It was $350 for the done deal, just in case you were imagining the worst! It’s not inexpensive but I think it’s perfectly reasonable for a piece of custom furniture. And it makes that entry way an actual ENTRY WAY, instead of an awkward door in our living room. And that, my friends, is impossible to put a price on. Impossible!
I felt like 100% fox in this outfit. There was some serious sass in my step! This jumpsuit from Australian label Keepsake is so fun! Since most of these items are either sold out or from another season I’ve given you options to recreate the look below. Hope you love! xx- Sarah
