How pretty are the details of this Joie blouse?! And the color, I just can’t get enough of blushes and nudes, as you well know. Don’t get me wrong, I love my girly-to-the-max moments too, but lately I’ve just been feeling a bit more… well, I guess just mix and match-y. I bought this dress (on sale!) to wear to my future God-son’s baptism in Mexico. I really wanted to buy this dress, and this dress but then I remembered who I am- ME, and whose bank account I do not have- OPRAH’S. So, here it is! The dress I chose instead. I’ll dress it up for the baptism with heels and more sophisticated accessories, but in the meantime I’m wearing it like crazy with over the knee boots and sometimes with these booties (also sold here). Happy Monday my friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! I rounded up some pieces that are currently sitting atop my wishlist, taunting me to ADD TO CART! It makes me feel better about not being able to, to see them here like this. I also think maybe it’ll help me manifest them into my closet!? Well, I never made it out of pajamas on Tuesday. I spent the whole day unpacking and got swept away by the wonders of a walk in closet! I’ve never had a walk-in closet, so this magic is new to me. But O.M.G! I want to just live in it. Seeing all of my clothes hung as if it’s a little boutique- it was a Pretty Woman moment. Except I’m not a prostitute and Richard Gere wasn’t there, and no one told me I was in the wrong store. But you know what I mean. Holy bananas it’s a beautiful thing, a closet that you can walk into!
And if that wasn’t glorious enough, I got dressed yesterday! It might be sad that I feel accomplished when I take pajamas off these days, or it might just be that I’m getting good at celebrating small victories. Like this one. This is pretty much the uniform I’ll be wearing until Summer hits. Dresses and skirts with over the knee boots and a jacket- that’s my game. And this blue dress is gonna see a lot of wear (it’s on major sale if you love it as much as I do!). I’ll also wear it with these booties when it gets a little warmer. Alexa Chung is my personal Queen of Denim, I just think she’s always on point with her styling and has perfected the art of looking effortlessly put together. So I was super excited to read this interview and use it as inspiration for today’s style post in partnership with Yahoo Style. I love me a great pair of high waisted flare jeans. Always have, always will. I think my spirit animal is a hippie. HA! In other news, things are moving along with the purchase of our house- we’re hoping to close a week from tomorrow! I can’t wait to get in there and take some photos so I can share the very beginnings of our next home with you! There are going to be some DIY projects in the works- so if you’re working on fixing up your own homes hopefully our labor/learning will serve as a resource for you!
