I’m so excited to share a couple of recipes from my Birds of a Feather cohort, Jen Lauren Grant today! She’s amazing and I knew she’d come up with something yummy to share, but I didn’t expect that she’d come up with TWO tasty treats for us all! So today will be a double decker post day. I’ll be back later to share Jen’s mango, avocado and black bean salad. YAY! Lavender Lemonade (makes about 4)
INGREDIENTS:
- 5 1/2 cups of water
- 1/2 cup organic raw honey
- juice from 4 lemons
- juice from 1 lime
- 6 sprigs lavender + additional for garnishing
METHOD:
- bring 5 1/2 cups of water to a boil.
- remove from heat and add 1/2 cup of honey – stir until dissolved.
- add lemon + lime juice (i used my juicer to get the most out of the fruit).
- add lavender and let cool to room temperature. serve over ice. garnish with a sprig of lavender!

Sounds refreshing! I just made rosemary lemonade the other day, and that was refreshing! I'm going to try the lavender. Also, I like that it calls for honey and not sugar.
