Happy Friday!!! It’s here, the weekend, at last! We’ll be house hunting, so it seems fitting to share this amazing space with you for some weekend inspiration. All About Neutrals
We’re almost to the weekend! It feels like a really big deal this week, doesn’t it?! We’re in the middle of rental house hunting- with the clock ticking down the minutes until we have to move, so we’re feeling the pressure. I wish we could just fast forward to mid-November, this is stresssful! But, all of that aside, can we talk about this bag? It’s my new go-to daytime bag and I’m loving the quality, versatility and that color! It’s making everything better, at least for moments at a time. And that’s also a really big deal right now. Cheers to that! xx- Sarah
Shop this outfit: jeans: Citizens of Humanity, jacket: Shakuhachi, bag: Meli Melo (also love it in this color), shoes: Zara (similar), sunnies: Karen Walker
For the Love of David Kind
That handsome guy right there- my husband Lou- he’s a HUGE part of this site and today he’s peeking out from behind the scenes! This post came to be when he was in the market for new glasses and discovered David Kind, a luxury eyewear company that pretty much blew our minds with their incredible packaging, customer service, fun business model and super high quality glasses. SO, here’s how they work: you tell them what you like/don’t like and send in a photo of yourself. An eyewear stylist at David Kind selects six frames based on your custom profile and ships them out (free!). You choose the pair that suits you best, and ship them all back (again, free!). Then, within a week, they ship out your glasses fitted with your prescription and you live happily ever after! Amazing, right? I know this is reading like a sponsored post but it’s not- we just fell in love with them and wanted to share for those of you in the market. Plus, and I’m wildly biased, but I think Lou is so handsome and I wanted an excuse to put his foxy mug all over the site. The photos above are the 6 frames that Lou’s stylist chose, and below you’ll see the pairs he picked. Yes, that’s right. He loved them so much that he chose two pairs and had one made into prescription sunnies! What do you think? Did he make the right choice? And are you as obsessed with great eyewear as we are? xx- Sarah
Put a Hat on It!
I don’t wear hats enough, and these ladies are begging the question WHY ON EARTH NOT?! Aren’t they? I’m vowing to get more hat action this Fall and Winter, it’s such a great way to make any outfit feel just a tiny bit more finished. And there are so many good options. I love the idea of pairing a great fedora with a dress like above. So good! Some hats on my wishlist below and even more inspiration after the jump! xx- Sarah via 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5
Kale and Roasted Red Kuri Squash Salad
So you may have seen on my Instagram- we accepted an offer on the house Thursday and are officially under contract! (!!!!) It happened so fast, it was a whirlwind week and now we’re scrambling to figure out our next move. We were thinking we’d travel for a bit and then find a place to rent when we get back, but when it started to become something that was actually going to happen we realized that we don’t have the cojones for that plan (insert worried emoji face here). We feel like we’d be a little lost without a home base and we worried that the transition would be hard on the pups. So, we’re looking for a rental in San Diego- the city where we met & fell in love, the incredible town that still houses so many of our favorite people! And then, after we’ve settled for a hot minute we’re going to take the Bali trip we postponed when Carlos moved in with us. I think we could use a couple of weeks of serious downtime to just breathe and count our lucky stars. We seem to have a lot of them and we’re crazy grateful! Thank you so much for all of the kind words on our house tour, for sharing the excitement with us, for being the raddest group of peoples in all of the internet! And now, kale and roasted red kuri squash salad. Red kuri squash is one of my absolute favorite of the winter squashes, if you haven’t tried it track it down and make it please!!! xx- Sarah
Apple Cinnamon Margaritas
Thank you so much for all of the kind words and sweetness on yesterday’s post, I’m headed over to respond right after this! I love sharing exciting news with you guys, it’s the best- it always gets me even more excited. Ok, today on the agenda we’ve got Apple Cinnamon Margaritas- because OMG APPLE CINNAMON MARGARITAS WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?! They’re really that good. I want to plan a night of pumpkin carving and apple cinnamon margarita drinking and pumpkin seed roasting, doesn’t that sound like fun? Ok, possibly a little dangerous too. But I’m still game! Who wants to come?! xx- Sarah {this post was produced in collaboration with Sarah Dickenson}
