we got to the desert a lot to get away and recharge (and i go there a bunch for work). in all this time i’ve never missed an opportunity to stop in at trina turk- i want to get dressed in the apparel store, then head into the home goods store and never leave. it’s a must-visit when in palm springs!
the fuji instax mini is one of my favorite things to bring on vacation- i love instant gratification! every christmas i make lou a photo album of the past year and these little suckers are such a fun way to remember our lives. yes, please!

we’ve driven past these gigantic dinos a bazillion times on our drive out to the desert, and this day we finally stopped! such a great touristy thing to do, to take photos of yourselves with the world’s biggest dinosaurs. now i want to be a t-rex for halloween, but can’t get my head around how i’ll whip up that fantastic little costume. ideas my friends?
we went to palm springs for a little getaway at the ace hotel last week. which meant that i had to pack, one of the things i dread doing the most. i never bring weather appropriate things, i forget almost all accessories and usually my toothbrush. but packing jewelry is eay- i just throw my most favorite baubles into this pretty little clare vivier pouch that my friend paige got me for my birthday and i’m good to go!
