the description of these pants on shopbop says that they’re “casual sweatpants cut from crepe”. i don’t know how i feel about that but i do know that I LOVE THESE PANTS! ok, so they kind of feel like silky sweats, but you know that just makes me love them more! fancy sweatpants, i just wish i had you in more colors. xx- sarah

it was a fine day when chambray met romper, right?! almost as great as when salt met chocolate. yum. but yes, this romper, it’s a fast favorite. oh, nevermind! all i can think about is SALTED PEANUT BUTTER CUPS. gah! i’ll let the photos speak for themselves and send you off with this one last thought: in my version of heaven i spend all day cuddling puppies, lounging around in anything that is soft & pajama-y and eating salted peanut butter cups. i’m not quitting booties just because it’s summer, no ma’am! i’m just switching them up. going from black to taupe and loving it! at heart i think i’ll always be a jeans and tee kinda gal but if i can find a way to fancy it up a bit (like, with boots that sparkle) i am TOTALLY ON IT! xx

remember when i said that a chambray shirt is an absolute necessity in a closet? this outfit is a perfect example of why. it’s the ideal item to layer over a neon mara hoffman dress that is probably a bit pricey if you’re only going to get one look out of it. but, add a magic chambray shirt and VOILA! an entirely different outfit. the chambray tones down the neon, gives it a casual vibe, looks great with lipstick. and now, i pat myself on the back. i finally found the right rationalization for adding this dress to my closet. see how that’s done? xx- sarah

hi everyone! today is lou’s birthday and we’ll be celebrating from now until monday! we have friends coming into town that we haven’t seen in far too long and enough tecate to fuel a mid size liberal arts college. yes, it’s going to be one of those weekends and i couldn’t be happier about it! i’ll be back tomorrow with just a bit more to get us through the weekend, and then i’ll be off celebrating with everything i’ve got! and the photo is just a sneak peek of a style post coming up featuring this caftan and this mara hoffman bikini.
