ROMPER FEVER

I know style posts have been few and far between lately, but that’s only because I’m using all our resources to finish the house!  But this romper, for $110, begged to be mine.  Like seriously begged and pleaded and gave me puppy dog eyes.  And who am I to refuse a sexy black deal like that?  That would just be wrong.  So in one quick click it joined my closet family!  And on a completely unrelated note, I couldn’t take the bang grow out for even a minute longer, I chopped them back and haven’t doubted it for a second.  I guess maybe I’m just meant to have the same hair for the rest of my life.  I better get used to it!  xx- Sarah  {more after the jump}

STRIPES IN ALL DIRECTIONS

Happy Monday everyone!  I survived the everything-that-could-go-wrong-would-go-wrong Friday, just by a hair! So you know what’s called for after a weekend of comfort-eating ice cream and chocolate balls?  A dress with BUILT IN SHAPEWEAR!!!  Genius, right?  This number from White House Black Market’s Instantly Slimming Collection has just that AND the perfect mix of stripes in all directions.  A winning combo that makes it completely flattering.  Because it’s so nice to not have to suck it in, right?  Now my plan for this week- a few more vegetables, a few less spoonfuls of ice cream.  Let’s see how this goes!  Spoiler alert: probably not that well because I’m tackling that crepe recipe that has me stumped and ice cream goes reeaaalllly well with homemade nutella and banana stuffed crepes.  Thank god for shapewear!  Shop the outfit below (also available in Petite!)  xx- Sarah

Sometimes there’s nothing better for a comfortable day than a pair of chinos, an oversized blouse, some sneakers and a few cute accessories to style it up a bit!  I’ve been loving pastels as we sneak into spring here in the desert and loving them even more when I can find a way to work them into an outfit with some more masculine patterns like this plaid blouse.  Hope you love as much as I do!  xx- Sarah

STRIPES TWO WAYS

My love of stripes knows no bounds!  And I’m not afraid to mix my patterns- a wide striped crop top with thin striped heels and a cow print bag?  Sure thing, sign me up!  And call me crazy but I asked for your advice on what to do with my hair to mix it up a bit and the most common answer was to grow out my bangs a bit and sweep them to the side.  It’s been some weeks in the making but they’re FINALLY sweeping instead of just blinding me.  I mean, seriously, there were a lot of days that looked like this!  I know it’s kind of hard to tell in the photos, but what do you think?  Should I continue to grow them and sweep them?  My only complaint is that I can no longer get away with letting my eyebrows turn into wild caterpillars, there is an extra bit of grooming required.  Oh, hair decisions.  And yes, I’m aware that I’m incredibly boring and this is a paragraph about sweeping my bangs to the side, a barely noticeable change.  I think this speaks to what a giant baby I am when it comes to my hair, which is why your advice is extra appreciated!  xx- Sarah {more after the jump}

Happy Monday friends!  As I mentioned recently, I’m alllll about comfort right now.  Life can be hard, and when it is you need clothes that make it easier, right?  I’ve been relying heavily on blouses and skinny jeans for that.  I’m always a huge fan of white jeans and love what Gap has done with these – the blue patches add the perfect bit of something special.  And these Rachel Zoe sneakers- I can’t tell you how much I love them.  Three cheers to feeling cute and comfortable all at once!  xx- Sarah  {more after the jump}
