So I recently discovered something INSANELY AMAZING. I would liken it to that time Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon, if I was being modest. You know that whole popular way of writing “BEST. THING. EVER.”? It was made for this exact occasion. Every other time someone wrote it they were lying. It’s possible I’m hyping it up too much, except that I’m really not. Drum roll…..It’s cinnamon mixed with honey! I know, that sounds simple and not at all like being the first man to walk on the moon. But what do you even know about it? Just try it before you get all judgy on me. Grilled pears. Cinnamon drizzle. One girl’s life forever changed. I think I’ve said enough. xx- Sarah {more after the jump}
Grilled Pears with Cinnamon Drizzle
Serves 6 (1/2 pear per serving)
Ingredients
3 ripe bosc pears
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped pecans
coconut oil
sea salt
Method
– Turn burn grillers to low and preheat to between 350-400 F. (if you don’t have a grill, a grill pan will also work!)
– Cut pears in half removing any visible seeds, leaving stems.
– Brush pears with refined coconut oil, sprinkle with sea salt and place on grill at an angle flesh side down
– Cook pears on covered grill for 15 minutes and check to see if the pears have softened and if the pears have a solid grill mark. If they do not, continue to cook, covered and check every 5 to 10 minutes. Turn pears on an angle to create another grill mark (this is how you get a criss cross pattern) and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes.
– In a small bowl combine 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon cinnamon and mix well.
– Let pears rest for a bit after cooking, when they are warm but not HOT, drizzle cinnamon honey over them and top with chopped pecans.
– Sprinkle with maldon salt.
– Serve immediately!

I've been addicted to cinnamon honey since being introduced to it by friends a few years back 😉 never thought of adding it to grilled pears so, but will definitely try it out soon – thanks for sharing! And great photos – so clear and brilliant!

I find the comments not at all useful. Most all recipe comments on other sites are from those that have tried the recipe, so that we may have an insight to what is positive or not. “It looks amazing, and looks delicious” among other remarks does not have any credibility. Please reserve your comments as to if you have made the dish, so we may learn from it. All others mean nothing!
Could not agree more with Louise …
Top it with homemade salted caramel gelato. Hacks:
– Skip the maldon salt on pears as the gelato has it in it
– still put honey on pears
– top gelato with pecans or layer on top of pears and then on gelato too!
this looks so yummy. i am so gonna try it.
Nice recipe! Simple ingredients and the flavors blended so well together.
