vacation style 2

back to milos!  i'm still going through some of the photos, and i look at them anytime i'm completely overwhelmed with work...it's my escape.  i can still feel the sun, smell the sea, taste the fresh tomatoes.   

here's an outfit i wore for a date night.  i love this dress for greece, it's the color of the sea!  and that bun- made possible with one of these genius things.  and yes, that lipstick is the one i mentioned here.

milos greece, our favorite beach

a look back on our trip to milos continues today with our favorite beach!  one of the things we love to do most on vacation is have adventures on chartered sailing trips.  this day we were especially lucky because we arrived late and the charters had all left for their day sails, but there was one captain left who had been planning on staying in and fixing up his boat.  he was sweet enough to offer to take us out alone for a special price (OMG!) so we spent a full 9 hours exploring milos from sea!  it was incredible, by far our favorite day there.  and when we arrived at this incredible spot we were the only ones there (and truly felt for a minute like the only people on the planet).  we swam to shore and explored the sandy beach, tucking rocks and driftwood into our swimsuits to bring home with us.  

if i ever need to "go to my happy place", it might very well be here.  turquoise water, a long stretch of white sandy beach, a bright blue sky with plenty of sunshine, no one in sight except my husband, a catamaran floating in the bay...heaven. *sigh*

milos, greece... a little peek

happy monday, i hope you all had a great weekend!  lou posted a few of our vacation snaps on his blog and tumblr.  take a peek if you'd like!  i'll be sharing the rest soon.  

my favorite vacation kitty

hello friends!  we're back from our favorite vacation yet, a magical greek island called milos. it was even more amazing than we hoped it might be.  i'm going to fill you in on alll the details someday soon and we have lots of pretty photos to share!  hopefully i'll be able to offer up enough to help you fantasize yourself there when you're next in need of a mental getaway.

in the meantime, here's a snap of me with my favorite stray cat that spent most breakfasts with us (and even snuck onto our balcony and hopped in bed for a cuddle with me one morning!)  it's a battle for me to travel to places with so many strays, i want to adopt them all!  i left a piece of my heart with this sweet little tomcat.

we're back to work but daydreaming about incredible greek food, the mediterranean sea, and sunsets that last for hours. i hope the end of summer is being sweet to you.

my vacation snags
