SUPERFOOD BITES

Since the temperatures have dropped and I'm no longer loving smoothie bowls in the mornings I've been on the hunt for tasty ways to incorporate my favorite super foods into my routine.  And these balls (heh) are the perfect answer!   They're easy to throw together and perfect to grab for a quick energy pick-me-up snack when I need it. Full of superfoods AND the insanely healthy walnuts, they're pretty much like taking a big ol' bite of health.  WIN WIN WIN.  Hope you love!  And have a fantastic weekend friends!  xx- Sarah {more after the jump}

SUPERFOOD BITES

9 servings

Ingredients:

1 cup dates (I used a combination of Merjool and Bahri dates which I recently discovered at the farmers market and became absolutely obsessed with!)

1 cup shelled walnuts

3 tablespoons maqui powder

1 tablespoon cacao powder

1 tablespoon almond butter

1 tablespoon chia seeds

3 tablespoons golden berries

1/2-1 tablespoon water

sesame seeds

Method:

-  In a food processor combine all ingredients until mixture starts to form a ball.

-  Roll a small handful of mixture in between hands to create a ball.

-  Spread sesame seeds on a plate and roll balls in sesame seeds to cover.

-  Refrigerate to set, and enjoy cold!

Thanks for posting this today. As the snow falls from the sky the thought of my morning smoothie makes me want to cry. I need to switch things up! These sound great!
