4 recipes

these pretty photos caught my eye over the past week, here are four recipes i'm hungry to try. have any of you tried to make almond butter before?  i'm just a little confused as to how it doesn't turn into almond milk (which i'm also excited about making!)

I made some a few weeks ago, it was amazing! but also thought it was going to break my fairly new cuisinart! decided that is was worth paying the price at whole foods for their fresh ground almond butter :)

All of those look SO yummy! I think the difference between getting almond milk vs almond butter is (1) the type of almond used (toasted for butter/blanched or raw for milk) and then (2) perhaps the straining of the mixture to achieve milky consistency? Let us know how the recipes go!!

@mj- i just cashed in my american express points for a vitamix blender- which is indestructible! our whole foods doesn't have organic almonds to grind, so i'm happy to work our blender into the ground mixing up almond butter!
@erin, that sounds about right. i will keep you posted on all almond related adventures!

These look fantastic. I'm an almond butter fanatic but have never tried to make my own. Maybe it's time! :)

isn't almond milk made by soaking raw almonds in water, as for cashew milk, whereas almond butter is just pureeing roasted almonds. with the milk, you also strain out all the ground almond meal after. anyway...they all look tasty to me!
