welcome, and thanks for stopping by!  this blog is the story of our family - myself, my husband lou and our two pups. we document our style, food, home and travel adventures. and then i mix it all up with advice, personal musings and ridiculous photos of dogs dressed to the nines. read more about each of us here if you'd like. cheers!

vegan leather and camo

i took my vegan leather pants out for one last spin before the weather here gets too hot to even think about pulling them on!  and since i feel especially badass in pleather (so wrong but so right), i paired them with with camo jacket and then added the sparkly shoes to bring in some femininity.  my love/hate relationship with pleather is slowing turning into a love affair!  {more after the jump}

SHOP THIS LOOK: pants: blank denim, old (similar here), blouse: stella and jamie (old) , jacket: asos, shoes: sam edelman, bag: clare vivier, ring: kelly wearstler, watch: marc jacobs, lips: dior blazing red

I just pulled out my faux leather jeans for one last hurrah today too! That jacket looks so great in all of your pictures that I'm starting to fall for it...and it's on sale! Can you tell me if you think it runs true to size?

thanks ladies!

@erica- i love this idea! will think on it and see what i can come up with (i have a hard time with shoes and bags that i love that aren't leather. but clare's bags are made locally and made with ethical manufacturing processes, which i love!)

@kristen- it's such an amazing price on sale, the jacket is amazing and great quality! it does run true to size (i'm wearing a xs and normally wear a xs/s size 2) hope that helps! xx

since attempting to stop using leather, i have the same issue with shoes and bags. i find that buying synthetic can be more wasteful because many of the products aren't as well-made. my solutions have been to thrift more often and to keep hunting for ethical companies. look forward to anything you come up with! thanks, sarah!

Cute outfit, so it's more like a flexitarian post since your shoes and bag are leather, yes?

Love the contrast of the camo with the sparkly shoes, Sarah! What's your nail polish color? Looks perfect for summer...
