For the Love of David Kind

That handsome guy right there- my husband Lou- he’s a HUGE part of this site and today he’s peeking out from behind the scenes!  This post came to be when he was in the market for new glasses and discovered David Kind, a luxury eyewear company that pretty much blew our minds with their incredible packaging, customer service, fun business model and super high quality glasses.  SO, here’s how they work:  you tell them what you like/don’t like and send in a photo of yourself.  An eyewear stylist at David Kind selects six frames based on your custom profile and ships them out (free!).  You choose the pair that suits you best, and ship them all back (again, free!).  Then, within a week, they ship out your glasses fitted with your prescription and you live happily ever after!  Amazing, right?  I know this is reading like a sponsored post but it’s not- we just fell in love with them and wanted to share for those of you in the market.  Plus, and I’m wildly biased, but I think Lou is so handsome and I wanted an excuse to put his foxy mug all over the site.  The photos above are the 6 frames that Lou’s stylist chose, and below you’ll see the pairs he picked.  Yes, that’s right.  He loved them so much that he chose two pairs and had one  made into prescription sunnies!  What do you think?  Did he make the right choice?  And are you as obsessed with great eyewear as we are?  xx- Sarah

Thank you Kennedy! And I think we have the stylist to thank for that, everything she chose for him really was a contender! :)

What a fun and easy to use concept. They all look great! I’m really happy for you guys and your move as well. Your blog is one of the first I’ve followed and I still get excited to see new posts. It’s funny, I’m in Bali at the moment. I’ve been here a month and it’s been quite a trip. How wonderful that you guys get to visit too. Actually, when I return I fly into L.A. And then I’m driving up to San Fran on a quest to visit cities and hopefully choose one as my next home. San Diego is high on my list. Any other must see recommendations? I’m pretty sure I will stop in Palm Springs as well. Thanks and good luck with all that is new and exciting in your lives!

A-HA! Spot on. I guessed both pairs right, including which of the two he’d choose for sunnies.

He looks great (in every single pair as well)! Beautiful eyewear is really important to me. I need glasses myself and I just can’t keep myself from window shopping for them, every single opportunity I get.
I really like the concept where you can try the frames at home, but unfortunately we’re still waiting for that trend to set in here, in Belgium.
