Where Fall Meets Summer

At the end of every August I start fantasizing about eating hearty winter stews and layering scarves over winter coats.  It’s the East Coast in me, I can’t quit it.  But in the desert, it’s HOT in September for the most part.  So I’m going to plan some trips to cooler places and I’m also going to wear these black shorts like crazy.  Because they’re my version of Fall and a damn cute consolation prize at that.  I’m also going to shop for cool weather clothes for all of you who live in places with true seasons (lucky ducks!)!  I hope you’re ok with that!  xx- Sarah

shorts: One Teaspoon (here and here), shirt: Asos, shoes:  BC Footwear, bag: Chloe, hat: Rag & Bone, belt: b-low the belt, watch: Marc Jacobs, bracelet: Kristen Elspeth, rings: Elizabeth and James and Gabriella Artigas

I hate this weird transition time but those shorts would definitely make it a little easier. I can’t wait to see what you come up with for the cooler months!

I’ve been so drawn to One Teaspoon shorts this summer. I took a try at making my own with thrift store jeans, which I love, but I may give into the real deal sometime soon. Love the checked shirt with yours!

Though I love the warm days of summer (which are happening right now in September after a miserable summer here in France), I like to feel that we are slowly shifting to autumn, its red leaves, cute boots, squash soups and curries, and its apple and pear/chocolate crumbles (yeah this is my personal definition for autumn!). And I like to think about winter and the snow covered mountains where I can go snowboarding, though I am NOT ready AT ALL for this now! Love your outfit, I have everything in my closet to replicate it so thanks for the inspiration!
