THE STRIPED SKIRT THAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF

this is the kind of skirt that’s made for dancing and twirling and strutting your stuff down a city sidewalk.  so if you’re into that kind of thing, this skirt is for you.  and this levi’s denim vest has become such a staple in my closet it’s reminscent of mc hammer and those pants.  like maybe one day lou is going to say “remember that year when you wore that denim vest every other day”?  and naturally, i’ll tell him i have no idea what he’s talking about.   happy monday!  xx -sarah

skirt: finders keeps,  vest: levi’s (also seen here),  shoes: bcbg (old),  black beaded bracelet: deepa gurnani,  black and gold ring: charles albert via shopbop (sold out),  gold cuff: jcrew (old),  nail polish:  orly “passion fruit” and butter “the full monty” (my loyalty to these colors knows no bounds)

love this! i wish you'd posted it earlier so i could get it in time for my trip to tulum this weekend! but i'm on a expedited shipping ban, b/c those fees got out of control! :) speaking of tulum – any suggestions from your trip last month?!

That is a very bold skirt and you pull it off well! And hey… denim vest everyday is certainly nothing to be ashamed of ;)

    thanks everyone!

@rita- yes, i have a few recs! first, Hartwood restaurant is a must go (and i would try to go more than once… :) ) casa banana has a good dinner, i wasn't crazy about el tabano but everyone else seems to love it (for good mexican food).
i didn't make it to posada margherita for italian food (because i was so focused on eating as much mexican food as i could get my paws on) but it's supposed to be really amazing too. i also loved casa jaquar. have such a great trip!
